Er, uh... So here's a trailer for the new Avengers cartoon. To be honest, it reminds me of all those horrible 90s Marvel cartoons, just a tad glossier. It's even got a cheesy theme song.

This is what it's all about.

The Goon trailer. The goon was one of the last monthly (or so) comics I was buying & it was funny enough. Some of the humor was a bit obvious, but Eric Powell can goddamn draw. Nothing about the trailer jumps out at me except every now & again you realize how far computer animation has come; even an average bit of animation is leaps & bounds over what was state of the art ten years ago.

This is way old, I know. I suck at blogging, though. You can watch the whole show here. Even from the opening you can tell a few things: the talent involved are from the John K school of animation & they seemed to be preoccupied with the girls' tits. The jokes are what you expect, but it looks good. As far as I can tell, there's still no series. I suppose one could watch "The Mighty B" instead, though the tits aren't as jiggly & you have to listen Amy Poehler's crappy voice acting.

Very excellent. I wish we could see more computer animation like this instead of the standard styles from the major studios.

This Degrassi promo really just works for me, to the point were I always watch it instead of fast forwarding through it on shows I've DVR'd.

Naturally, I am a fan of cartoons the look very much like they have been hand drawn; no need to slick things up. I like the mountains of breasts. It makes me thing of Robert Goodin's excellent comic "The Man Who Loved Breasts".

There needs to be a Ruby Rocket series, I think.

Wow. This is Jason Armstrong's SVA thesis film & it's so on it's nuts! I won't try to tell you what makes this great; I think it speaks for itself. It's frustrating to see things this fantastic while stuff like "Squidbillies" is on national television.

I snatched this off of Cartoon Brew.

A Neko Case video, directed by siblings Paul and Julie Morstad. I like the storybook illustration look of the animation. I especially like how well drawn the animals are.
